EYFS
EYFS go to Willows Farm at Christmas.
Nursery have a trip to Ashridge Woods.
Reception visit Whipsnade Safari Park.
Years 1 & 2
Year 1 and 2 enjoy an annual pantomime at the local Elgiva Theatre in Chesham just before Christmas. Year One enjoy a hands on art workshop at St. Alban’s Cathedral. Year Two visit St Mary’s Church in Old Chesham and the Roald Dahl Museum at Great Missenden. Year 1 also have a trip to the Brooklands Transport Museum.
In-house workshops might include Pirates (Year 1), a visit from the local police or a visit from the local fire station complete with fire engine!
Every opportunity is made to draw on the experience and knowledge of parents and parents have been willing to come and share short talks and show artefacts to the children which support the curriculum.
In years 3 and 4 we organise a wide variety of trips outside of school and visits to the schools by professionals. Below is a sample of what is currently on offer to these children.

Throughout the year each Y4 class visits Chesham Mosque as part of their RE studies
Plus a residential trip to Cuffley Camp (1 night) for Bushcraft.
Senior School
School trips during the academic year reflect and compliment many aspects of the curriculum. Year 5 visit Sulgrave Manor (a Tudor house), Hazard Alley, Whipsnade and a Sikh Temple. In Year 6 the children go to Duxford Air museum, Kew Gardens and a Geography Fieldwork day in Berkhamsted.
During the summer term a residential Activity Programme takes place each year. Venues this year are at Grafham Water in Cambridgeshire for year 5 (3 days), Caythorpe Court in Lincolnshire for year 6 (5 days).
We find that outdoor education helps promote independence and develop skills in working together and individually.
